Our philosophy

• FLUX believes that some groups of young people are more vulnerable to developing drug and alcohol problems than others.
• FLUX believes that early and supportive intervention in the lives of young drug and alcohol users can help prevent substance use and reduce harm.
• FLUX believes that young people should be helped in their own environment and on their own terms.

What we do

FLUX aims to reduce the harm done to the health, welfare and opportunities of young people up to the age of 18 who may be misusing drugs and/or alcohol.

Who we are

We are small team with wide range of experience in working directly with young people (including substance misuse workers and Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist).

Services are also delivered through outreach around the county, with the aim of meeting the needs of young people where they feel safe, comfortable and able to talk. We are a rural based service which means that we will meet at a place where you feel comfortable and is safe .
